Yes, you heard it right, wearing waist-waist bottoms can create an illusion that your legs are longer. And if you are going with striped bottoms , then do not go for horizontal stripes. Horizontal Striped bottoms will instead make you look shorter or wide than taller. So, go for Vertical Stripes.
But only wearing high waist bottoms will not do the trick, you need to either wear a crop top or tuck in your tailored blouse to show your elevated waist.
Tuck In That T-Shirt
Tucking in your t-shirt can actually trick other people’s eyes into thinking that you are taller by elongating your lower body. It is also important , that your t-shirt is well fitted and it defines the shape of your body. As I said for the bottoms, similar if you wear vertical striped tops(well fitted ofcourse), then it can create an illusion of making you look taller.
Wear Pointed Shoes ( Flats/ Heels)
Heels are no doubt the go-to options to look taller, but no matter what you are wearing, that is heels or flats , if you are wearing shoes with pointed toes, it will lengthen your leg line. So, my fellow shorties go and try out pointy toe shoes and then you would thank me later.
Say No To Shoulder Bags
Wearing the right dress and shoes can ofcourse do the magic of making you look taller but teaming your look with the right accessories is also an important thing. And when I say no to shoulder bags, then you better listen to that.
Because the width of large shoulder bags will take the whole attention towards itself and your efforts to look taller will go in vain. Instead go with smaller cross -body bags or sling bags , wallets or small top – handle totes.
The Right Hairstyle
No, don’t get surprised, your hairstyle also plays a major role in the process of making you look taller. Yes, you should select a hairstyle that elongates your face and in turn creates an illusion, of being taller.
I know it’s lot more easier to say than being done, as selecting the right hairstyle with your face type, might seem as a tough nut to crack to you. But I would say, it’s not that hard,as you may think.
You can either take help Youtube, as there are a lot of videos available on Youtube, which can guide you on deciding the right hairstyle for your face or you can take help from your hairstylist at your Salon to help you select the right hairstyle.
So that is it. These were the few fashion / style hacks to make you look taller.
But yes, no matter you are tall or short or howsoever your body type is, don’t ever underestimate yourself or rather your body type. We all are unique in some way or the other, and we all should be proud of the way we all are.
