Hey there , my lazygirlfam !! Hope you all are doing good. You might be thinking that, long time no see, right ? But we all know this , that good things take time and so does preparing a good blog post. Okay so without wasting anymore time, let’s just get to our today’s topic. So you tell me one thing, are you happy with yourself ? Do you love the way you are? Do you ? For some of you, the answer would be yes and for some, it would be a no. If your answer is yes, then girl, you are on the right path. But if it is a no, then do keep reading my blog and I hope your answer would change from a No to Yes.

We all have something or the other that we feel like changing about ourselves. Be it our skin, our colour , our height, our weight or anything. But tell me, don’t you have even one thing about yourself, that makes you feel grateful to be yourself ? Nobody is perfect and nobody in this world can be entirely perfect. But, so what if you are not PERFECT, rather be the one who is PERFECTLY IMPERFECT. I believe there is always a reason for why you are the way you are.
Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do

You might be fat, you might be thin, you might be short or you might be tall but my dear, you are You, you are Unique. If you just keep on comparing yourself with everybody else out there, believe me, you would be never satisfied then, you would never be happy in life then. You might be constantly thinking and telling your own self that you need to change yourself, you need to be the way the “other people” want you to be. But tell me one thing, are these so called “other people” perfect ? You and I, both of us know that they are not, right ?
We constantly live our life, thinking about what these “other people” would think of us, how they would see us. But, I don’t understand that why are these “other people” so important to you. Why does their opinion matter to you that much ? I mean the persons who you think are close to you in life, that is your Mom,Dad and all the other persons (whom you think of to be close to you), do they fall under the category of “other people” ? I guess No, right ? Then, why do you care so much of how they (“other people”) would think of you.
These “other people” are constantly battling their own fights, each and everyday. They have problems too, in their life. And most importantly, they are imperfect too (just like you and me). Nobody in this world is free of problems. Be it the rich or poor, beautiful or ugly. You don’t need to look down on yourself, just because someone doesn’t like the way you are. Why do you need to change for somebody else ? The people who love and value you, would accept you, just the way you are.

Think of the fact, that what if Shakespeare and Einstein thought like you, I mean if they thought of what “other people” would think of them for what they were doing. And instead of writing and being into science, they would have gone into something totally different. Then we wouldn’t have known the William Shakespeare and the Albert Einstein that we know today. God has made each of us different for a specific reason. We all are mean’t to have, different stories in life, different purpose in life , and we all are mean’t to be different in life. And that is totally okay.
I know this too, that it’s a lot easier said than done. But then what am I here for. I’ll help you, in your journey to be your own unique self. So, I am sharing what I do in my life, that motivates and encourages me to love myself and feel good about myself.

Maintain a diary or notebook and write about all the things that you like about yourself. Write about, what you like about your body, your looks,the way you walk or the way you speak. This way, you will always feel good about yourself.

Stand in front of the mirror and intentionally say positive things about yourself. This way you would be intentionally programming your mind to think good about yourself.(Because after all, being happy or sad, it all depends on your mind, on your thinking)

Listen to positive affirmations more and more. The more you listen to good things about yourself, the more you would feel confident and happy about yourself, about the way you are.
And yes.. Most important point is..

Stay away from all those “Other People” , if they make you feel bad about yourself. It is totally okay to stay away from negative people as it is to stay away from negative thoughts , negative beliefs and negative habits.
